Once you start building a team, you also begin taking on new responsibilities. You can’t just sign a new coach and let them figure it out for themselves. That’s not how this works. You have to step up to the plate and be the leader!
What you should do after a new coach signs up:
- Immediately welcome them into the team with a New Coach welcome post including their picture on our team page
- Show them how our group works and how to use it
- Keep the momentum high, but do not overwhelm them. Like you, your coaches will learn a little at a time. Don’t try to explain every little detail. I know it’s hard to keep your composure , but always keep it super simple. If you start talking about cycle bonuses and rank advancements on day one you will make their head spin.
First things to send them:
“Tag” them in some of the files in our Team Page and let them know how we use them, and offer to follow up with a phone call within a week after they’ve had time to digest the information.
