Vegas for Fit Girls
Is it possible to go to Las Vegas and stay fit? I am about to find out! I am heading there for a combo family time/conference getaway. Living in Minnesota, I am so excited to escape our -10 temps and not have to go outside without my nostrils freezing shut. However, I’m a little nervous about what all these temptations will do to my fitness routine.
The last thing I want to do is ruin the good efforts I’ve put forth lately during my workouts… so I’m trying to go there well-equipped for a little fitness along with fun. No fatty, junky airport snacks for me. I will allow myself to indulge in good meals later in the day, but mornings will be Shakeology. I have my running shoes packed, and workout clothes ready. I want to not only pack the LBDs and bikinis, but look great in them while I’m there (bikinis are not nearly as cute when you’re sporting a beer belly).
I’ll certainly do my best, but I also am not going to deprive myself of the food, drinks and parties that go along with a winter getaway like this. That’s all part of the fun! That’s why I ramped up my workouts ahead of time and plan on doing the same when I get back. What do YOU do to stay on track while on vacation? Or, to prepare for one and recover when you get home?
