Transform :20 with Shaun T
I am one week into the Transform :20 Pilot Test Group with Shaun T and my first impressions is this: THIS WORKOUT IS INTENSE!
I love the idea behind the Transform :20 program because I don’t have a lot of extra time in my day, and I’m always trying to make the most of the time I DO have. The thought of being able to get my workout done in 20 minutes?? Yes, sign me up! I’ll admit, I was a little skeptical about this before I started, but after a week I KNOW I get the calorie burn I get, I know how hard I’m pushing, and I KNOW I can get it done in a short period of time.
As always, Shaun T acts as your biggest motivator. I love how he compares the grit you bring to your workout to the challenges you face in life, and there are so many parallels. When you give of yourself, whether it’s your workout, your relationship, or career..
I LOVE using the step and getting my sweat on! As someone who really enjoys weight training, I really didn’t know cardio could be this much fun! That said, the Transform :20 workouts are DEMANDING. No matter what your fitness level, they will challenge you to LEVEL UP. In each Transform :20 workout, there are three “Transformers” periods where you do a single movement as many times as possible. What I like about the Transformers is that they create a natural goal-setting process in the program that challenges you to be better each and every day.
The Transform :20 program comes with a nutrition guide, a workout calendar, but my favorite part is the Transformation Tracker. Through daily journaling, you not only track your nutrition and workouts, but you track your mental progress as well. With the tracker journal, you’ll track your daily challenges and what you do to overcome them.
After the first week of Transform :20, I’m feeling MOTIVATED and INSPIRED. Right now I’m still following the modifier with some of the moves, and that’s OK with me. I know that by the time the six weeks are over, I will be stronger, more conditioned and better at the moves than I am right now.
Here’s what’s cool about this program: Sometimes when we do workouts, we just go through the motions. Transform :20 is different because each and every day Shaun T challenges you to step it up, not settle for just being average, and take things to the next level. The “Transformers” in this workout (there are THREE of them each day) challenge you to become better day by day, week by week.
