Is it wrong that my workout shirt smells like bacon? I don’t think so.
I do my best, but I am not perfect when it comes to clean eating. To be honest, perfection isn’t even something I want to strive for. I love food too much! Bacon is one thing I could never give up. So is beer. I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I have a fat/salt tooth. I love cheese, appetizers, bacon and chips. I know that following the 80/20 rule is the only thing that will work for me long-term. During the week, I eat a lot of salad, drink my Shakeology daily and try to eat fairly healthy dinners. On the weekends, you are likely to find me drinking beer at least a couple times, maybe eating a burger – and usually something with bacon on it. No guilt!! I don’t consider them “cheat” meals, but rather REWARD meals. Life – and food – is meant to be enjoyed. Everything in moderation is the way to go.
Often, I find my challengers fail because they can’t stick to a program 100%. They consider themselves failures. Nothing bothers me more than that! Perfection isn’t the goal. PROGRESS is the goal. Try to be a better version of yourself little by little, at your own pace. Never give up. You only fail if you stop trying. That is the only way you can truly honor yourself and your goals.
